Can somebody help me with Linux Daemons. I am looking for some document with description of HP-UX daemons, their location on system...

Shalom,
/sbin/init.d is the location of the daemon startup script.
Unlike Linux there is no functions file, and no daemon option when building a startup script.
Fact is this standard location does not stop people from building daemons wherever they want.
