HP-UX Error:5 I/O error
I am getting an error "HP-UX Error:5 I/O error" on a logical volume that spans 3 physical disks. I get the error in SAP (oracle) when I try to export the table space and also during backup using DataProtector. There is no error message in the syslog or reported by ISEE. I was wondering if anyone could tell me how to determine what physical disk the error is occuring on.
I have an extra disk in the Volume Group that I can use to recreate the LV if I can identify the Bad Disk.
Thanks in advance
Dave

Re: HP-UX Error:5 I/O error
It would be useful if you could let us know what system, version of HPUX, what size drives and if any of the other logs have any errors in them.
