HP-UX ftp.rb:292:in `addr': getnameinfo: address family not supported (SocketError)

Hi all,
after I successfully installed ruby 1.8.7 on HP-UX 11.23 IA64 I was
trying to use Net::FTP class when I got this error:

address family not supported (SocketError)

It happens when I use ftp.list
