HP UX install
Iam at the BOOT_ADMIN prompt
and I do not remember the commands to boot from CDROM...
I tried boot
It tries to do something and then returns back to the BOOT_ADMIN prompt.
Can somebody help me

then you should be able to enter the following command to search for bootable devices:
sea
It should find the cdrom down a path other than the internal disk(s). If the list has the p0, p1, etc reference numbers, then use that to target the cdrom for boot
boot pX... where X is the ref number
enter n for interracting with ipl and you should be all set. You can also use the full hardware address listed from the sea instead of the pX ref. number

When at the Boot Admin menu you should be able to select the boot source by entering:
# bo pN
..where pN is the device identifier associated with a SCSI path.

you can search ur boot deives in your workstaion from input "sea" command and then also select ur boot device
1. main> sea
2. main> bo pN(N is boot device)

I use the bo scsi.2.0 where scsi.2.0 is the path of my drive..
also I am using an external caddy drive manufactured by sony for SUN MICRO, the model is CDU 560 SUNMSCD...
What may be the problem..is the cdrom drive non-compatible...
