hp-ux/mozilla/@-character
I am working on a C160 box with hp-ux 11.00 and Mozilla 1.4, german localization. I'm using a german USB-Keyboard ( /etc/kbdlang: PS2_DIN_German_Euro ). Whereas I have no problems in any hpterm or dtterm to write a "@" with either (Alt+q) or (AltGr+q), these keyboard combinations do not work within Mozilla . In fact, these combinations don't seem to generate any character. I had similar problems with Netscape I could fix ( within Netscape.ad ), but I didn't find any similar file under /opt/mozilla . Has anyone any ideas ??
Thanks
Laszlo P.

Re: hp-ux/mozilla/@-character
one try:
In /etc/kbdlang use 'PS2_DIN_German'.
I had a similar problem with a CAD application and that was the solution.

Re: hp-ux/mozilla/@-character

Re: hp-ux/mozilla/@-character
thanks for Your answers. Now I just have seen that I made a mistake in my posting ( sorry, seems that my brain was still in a lower runlevel -)) . My keyboard is of course not a USB-keyboard, but a PS2-keyboard ( the C160 does not have any USB-ports . Anyhow, I tried Your suggestion and changed my /etc/kbdlang from PS2_DIN_German_Euro to PS2_DIN_Euro ( although my keyboard HAS the Euro-character, but I don't need it really ) and rebooted my box. But - sorry - everything remained as before : No problems within shell-windows or even within Netscape , but no effect in Mozilla : Neither (Alt+q) nor (AltGr+q) produce any character ...

Re: hp-ux/mozilla/@-character
sorry , I'm afraid I have really problems today with my concentration . It's embarrassing but I made a new mistake: I actually changed my /etc/kbdlang to PS2_DIN_German ( I just controlled it ) and NOT to PS2_DIN_Euro as I wrote in my last answer .
Mea culpa ( sorry )
Laszlo
