HP-UX processor installation & license issue
Hi,
Iam using two HP-UX boxes one is consist of two processor.
As per my client i need to remove one processor and install it on another server.
Note: The another server has only one processer after installation of this processor does it need processor license.
My Question:
===========
let's say Server A & Server B
#Server A consist of two processor
#One processor will be move from Server A to Server B.
# Is it smooth to move processor from server A
#Does Server B require processor license
#If yes how to get & install processor license.
Your valuable input will be appreciated......

Re: HP-UX processor installation & license issue
There is no licence to install, but a LTU (licence to use - paper based, a "must have").

You really should be talking about cores for HP-UX licensing, not processors.

Re: HP-UX processor installation & license issue
Hi,
There is no license required to install CPU into other server.
Better option is ask your HP vendor to do the activity.
