HP-UX Tools.h++ / RW SourceProCore 8.6.0
Hi,
We are currently porting a telecom application on SUN Solaris 2.8 and HP-UX 11.0.
This application is currently based on RW SourceProCore 8.6.0 (ed.2). We are studying the alternative to migrate to the Tools.H++ provided by the SUN/HP OS.
This seems to us rather risky in terms of backward compatibility (typically, HP-UX 11.0 / ACC A.03.33 provides Tools.h++ aligned to RW Tool.h++ 7.0.1.) but not fully unfeasible.
Any answer to the following questions will be helpful:
- as we have a single line of code SUN/HP, i'm wondering if we will have face problems related to any difference of the Tools.H++ provided by SUN Solaris 2.8 vs HP UX 11.0
- is there any performance degradation/improvement when switching from RW SourceProCore 8.6.0 to HP-UX tools.h++?
Any feedback/hint is welcome!
Thanks
