HP-UX11.1 need to allow root to login via xdmcp

How can I set up my system so root can login to a CDE session remotely via XDMCP. I know the security risks here. I don't care this is how I want it to be done. I'm running HP-UX B.11.23 U ia64. XDMCP works for other users just not root.

Hi,

Are you able to login root from telnet or ssh from your terminal not console ?

If this file exsist /etc/securetty then remove this line

console

then try to loging from other terminal
if this line is there then only allow root access from console wonly and not from any tty terminals .

Yes I can ssh ftp telnet etc. I've tried adding ptys in etc/securetty. Ive also commented out console. One thing I did forget to mention is this box has CA's Etrust access Control on it. I did do an authorize LOGINAPPL DTLOGIN uid(root) access(x)
