HP_UX11 C3600 can not remote connect with Xserver

I am trying to remote connect to a C3600 from a pc using Xserver and I can not. I have another C3600 box that is basically configure the same and I have no problem doing and Xserver connection. Could anyone advise what config file I need to set up to allow remote Xserver connection on HP_UX.
Thank you

Re: HP_UX11 C3600 can not remote connect with Xserver

Questions : are you able to :

ping C3600 from PC and vice versa ?

Are they on the same subnet ?

Are there firewalls, routers etc in between them that could be causing this ?

Has it ever worked ?

Can you resolve hostnames and ip's correctly on both systems ?

Thoughts : since you say it works on another "similar" system I'd suggest the problem may be with the pc or Xserver application ? You maybe able to trace the application via it's own log files ?

does the Xserver application running on the PC allow an XDMCP broadcast to all unix systems on the network, if so do any show up ie the other C3600 etc ?

what s/w are you using and how are you connecting to X ... CDE login panel or individual X applications ?

Re: HP_UX11 C3600 can not remote connect with Xserver

Hello Alex,
Yes I am able to ping the C3600s, the 3600 that Xserver can not connect to is on the same network and the 3600 that I am able to connect to is on a separate network.
Yes I am able to resolve hostnames and IPs.
yes the Xserver application running on the PC allow an XDMCP broadcast.
I am using a Laptop running XP, in the XDMCP config I put the IP adress of the c3600 machines. One connection works and the other does not. I think is a configuration issue on the C3600.
Thanks for any and all help.

Check if dt login is running and enabled on the server? Comapre the o/p on working and not working server

#ps -ef|grep dt
root 6310 27896 0 Apr 16 pts/1 0:00 ./dtlogin -e

#whereis dtlogin
dtlogin: /usr/dt/bin/dtlogin /usr/dt/man/man1/dtlogin.1 /usr/dt/share/man/man1/dtlogin.1
