HP-UX11i MC

I would like to know if it is possible to load HP-UX11i MC on a B2000 workstation or do you need a enterprise class server for operating enviroments.

Re: HP-UX11i MC

Daniel,

I do not know if it is supported, but i can not imagine that you want to get this supported. A MissionCritical license is a processor based license. That license alone costs more than the B2000. If you want this for testing i would just install it to see if it works. If so :) if not :(. But if you want to take it in production ( Mission Critical) i would advice you to reconsider the hardware.

Re: HP-UX11i MC

Daniel,

though I do not know of anybody who has done it, and for sure it is not supported, I think it should be at least *possible* to do it.

If there is something on the install CD that verifies the HW model and refuses any installation on a B2000 from the official install media, I guess you could still clone through ignite (to different HW).

Bernhard
