HP Virtual Server - Maximum number of Virtual Disks for Guest?

How many number of DISKS can a HP virtual guest have?

Also, as I present the disk to the guest via "hpvmmodify" there are times the guest wants a reboot and would not dynamically discover the disk.

Any thoughts?

Thanks,

Re: HP Virtual Server - Maximum number of Virtual Disks for Guest?

The install and config for version 3 states 30 devices total per VM Guest.

I have yet to have any issue when rebooting a server that it would not recognize the configured disk. Obviously if there was a HW failure then the answer is the same as any other type of server. Disk gone, system does not recognize it.

As far as seeing the recently added disk - did you run a ioscan -funC disk and an insf -eC disk ?

So far, I have yet to reboot when adding or removing disks from my HP-UX guests.
