HP700/135 workstation

I am about to be a proud owner of any HP700/135 workstation. Can I plug any type of monitor or keyboard to the machine or not?

Or do I have to buy specific monitor and keyboard to work with the workstation?

Thanks.

Re: HP700/135 workstation

Not sure about the 715/135, but with the 715/100 I need to use a Keyboard Adaptor Module because of the plug in the back of the system.

Re: HP700/135 workstation

my 700 workstations gotonly connections called "HIL".

The port/cable is marked with one or two dots

so you would need a special HIL-Keyboard. on this Keyboard you can attach a HIL-Mouse

Re: HP700/135 workstation

I am assuming that the workstation is a 735/99 or 735/125. This being the case the 735 has uses an HIL keyboard and mouse. The monitor is highly dependant on the graphics card you have in the system. The 735 does not have built-in graphics, it is an add-on card and normal is RGB output not the newer more standard DB-15 (VGA style connector). There is a converter box for HIL to PS/2 style keyboard and mouse but I believe that only works on some workstations like the 725/100 -- not sure on this point however.

If the workstation is not a 735 please disregard this note.

I hope this helps. =- Wesley -=
