HPI2O not Supported in 11.23
Presently we are using a financial package that runs fine with 11.11. In order to upgrade to a newer version of the financial software we must upgrade to version 11.23. If my understanding is correct my rp5430 servers have a HP I2O RAID PRODUCT (probably a PCI board) that MAY work with
a A6828A Ultra 160 SCSI card controlling a Storage Works 2300(just a bunch of SCSI drives, and 2 BCC's). The problem is that in the 11.23 version the HP I20 Raid product isn't supported (The Hardware Raid. I can still see the working A6828A). I am looking into the possibility of using a A5856A RAID/SCSI controller combo card (or similar card that will work with the rp5430 and HP UX 11.23). I'm just wondering if my assumptions are correct and I can remove the HPI2O Raid product and get it working RAID5
with the A5856A card. I think I'm licensed for
Mirror/UX .

Re: HPI2O not Supported in 11.23
Shalom,
http://partsurfer.hp.com to see what parts are supported on the rp5430. Also see docs on http://docs.hp.com
If your new card is supported then you can migrate to it.
