HPNPD Daemon
Hello all,
I recently loaded the new HPNP utility on my HP-UX box ( HP-UX 10.20 HP 9000 ). Somehow, the OLD HPNPD is still being started when the system boots. I have tried looking in all the files ( I can think of ) not to start the Daemon, but I cannot find it.
Where can I look so that the next time the system boots, it does not start up the HPNP daemon?
Thanks
Sanjay

Re: HPNPD Daemon
Hi:
The file you are looking for is /sbin/init.d/hpnpd. Remove it and then go to /sbin/rc2.d. Look for *hpnpd* and remove this link. Then go to /sbin/rc1.d and look for *hpnpd* and remove this link as well.

If it ain't broke, I can fix that.

Re: HPNPD Daemon
hey,
U may remove or rename /sbin/init.d/hpnpd file. Remove the links as well from the rc directories. If you need more configuartion parameters, check /usr/lib/hpnp/etc/hpnpdtab, /etc/bootptab.
See man pages of hpnpd, hpnpadmin
