hppi process hanging around

I mistakenly posted this in "general".

Hi all.

rclass - hpux 11.11

I was using jetdirect yesterday to configure a new printer, today I notice the process listed below hanging around. I am new the system and the position and I want to make sure that I don't kill printing services somehow that I don't know about! Is it safe to kill this process? (top and lsof of the pid listed below) TIA

Re: hppi process hanging around

Yes, it is perfectly safe to kill the hppi process. This will have no effect upon lpsched.
If it ain't broke, I can fix that.

Re: hppi process hanging around

It's ok to kill a leftover hppi process.
