HPUX 10.20 Dump to DDS2
I'm having problems getting 8GB to backup on my C1533A tape drive using DDS2
tapes. Please explain how to use the density and tape length options for the
dump command.

Re: HPUX 10.20 Dump to DDS2
If I specify the correct density and tape length the estimates for the amount
of tape required are way too high (too many tapes). Here's the command that I
thought should have worked:
dump 0dsf 1816822 394 /dev/rmt/c1t3d0DDS2Cn /fs1
The command I'm currently using gives good estimates for amount of tape
required for the backup, but doesn't reflect the actual tape density or
length.
dump 0dsf 846023 15000 /dev/rmt/c1t3d0DDS2Cn /fs1
Please help me with the proper usage of the dump tape density and length
options. Thanks.
