hpux 11.0 CD media and basic configurations
1. How come I don't have "Core OS CD" in my media box? I have install/update/recover CD, but not Core OS CD.
2. What configurations I should choose within "Basic Configuration":
- HP-UX 11.0 default configurtion or
- Technical Computing configuration or
- The Commercial Servers configuration

Re: hpux 11.0 CD media and basic configurations
1. The Install/Update/Recover CDROM is the Core OS CD.
2. Choose the 'Commercial Servers" configuration. If I recall correctly, the default configuration leaves out some CDE and langtools filesets.
Regards!

Re: hpux 11.0 CD media and basic configurations
1) Same thing, different names. It used to be called Core OS, HP like changing the names of things to confuse people, I think.
2) Depends. First off, what do you intend to use the server for. In your previous thread, I believe Cheryl posted a link to the Installing and Updating document which would probably explain your choices better than I can as I've never faced this choice.

Re: hpux 11.0 CD media and basic configurations
Three weeks ago I ordered everything from June 2003 on 11i, Core OS, Applications and Patches.
The only thing that came in so far is Patches.
I believe there is a manufacturing or shipping problem.
If your need is urgent, HP can probably get you the March 2003 Core OS overnight.
Contact your representitive by phone.
