HPUX 11.0 MSL500 Library

I've attached an MSL500 (autoloader) to my fabric and now can see the two drives an robotic (they show up as claimed) but am having trouble getting my backup software to see them.

My assumption is that if they are showing upa s claimed there's no need to install drivers, etc. (I can't find any anywhere on the HP site.)

Have I missed something?

what backup software are you using?
"The difference between me and you? I will read the man page." and "Respect the hat." and "You could just do a search on ITRC, you don't need to start a thread on a topic that's been answered 100 times already." Oh, and "What. no points???"

That depends upon your backup software. As a next step, I would use the mc and mt commands to talk to your robotics and tape drives.
If it ain't broke, I can fix that.

Hi,

You need enable the driver in the kernel:

This driver is the media changer, when you enable this driver, you see in the backup software.
