HPUX 11.0 Screen Lock, only root unlock

I have a HP11.0 system that when the CDE screen locks you have to use the root password to unlock. using a user yp account will not unlock the screen.

Thanks

check your /etc/nsswitch.conf for correct entries.

nsswitch.con looks o.k.

To add:
yp is working fine. the user can log into the system fine. Its just the CDE lock that will not open.

ypwhich, ypcat as well as automounter is working fine for the user.

Thanks

Hello Ted,

I seem to remember that problem being mentioned
in a patch quite some month or longer ago...

What level of patches are you up to on that station?
Have you tried "searching" the patches for "lock"?

Are you running in "compat" mode? What are your passwd & group settings in nsswitch.conf?

What CDE run-time patch do you have loaded?

Ted,

Here's a document I found in the TKB. Don't know if it'll help you or not, but here it is.
