HPUX 11.11 - Model RP5470 Not booting.

Hello, can you please help me on this.

The machine got mirrored boot disk. we never booted from alt path.
I had to reboot the machine and not booting from primary path. Folling error appeared.
/stnd/vmunix - not readalbe or not accessable.

I tried with ALT path and gives the following messages.
Alert level 6 - boot possible pending failure
source 8 = I/O

The question is, I have the ignite backup which was taken, when the machine was up and running using PRI path.

Can I use this tape to setup the ALT disk?

or What is your suggestions please?

The system may have a hardware problem. The GSP logs may have more information.

You may try to stop at ISL> prompt and do

ISL> hpux -ls

to check if vmunix is there.

However, you can restore the image to another disk for testing.

i booted the system with the below command.
hpux -lm

It booted to the root prompt and the /stand folder is empty.
Now engineer replaced the disk. Can I setup the disk from my ignite backup?

Boot from tape, select the destination disk and start recovery.
