hpux 11.31 crashes after a bus check
Hi I am having 4 node mcsg cluster running on hpux 11.31. i was running some load on my cluster filesystem.. and disconnected one of my 2 heartbeat links to test the cluster stability, but one of node crashed .. when i ran a crashinfo tool on the crash it showed me the following reason..
================
= Crash Events =
================
Note: Crash event 0 was an HPMC !
HPMC registers for cpu 1, hpa 0xfffffffffe781000
==================================================
hpmc_type = 0x20000000 (BUS Check)
cpu_state = 0x9e000000
cache = 0x0
tlb = 0x0
bus = 0x0
assists = 0x0
path info = 0x0
assist_id = 0x0
slave_addr = 0x0
master_addr = 0x0
proc_hpa = 0xfffffffffe781000
Note: This appears to be a BUS check hpmc. BUS Checks are often caused by
hardware problems, but there are many software causes as well.
To progress a BUS Check HPMC you will normally need to obtain the
hardware TOMBSTONE and analyse it.
Note: Please contact HP support referencing CRASHINFO_NOTE_HPMC1.
For your reference i am attaching the crashinfo output.
Any help will be appreciated.

Re: hpux 11.31 crashes after a bus check
I suggest you log a call with your local HP Response Centre
My house is the bank's, my money the wife's, But my opinions belong to me, not HP!

Re: hpux 11.31 crashes after a bus check
an HPMC generally signals a hardware problem.
