HPUX 11 and D250 with EISA
There is an ugly rumour that a D250 with EISA cards, e.g. an 8 port MUX, or
some types of network card, will not run HP-UX 11.00.
If this is true, then what's the solution ? Is it possible to buy non-EISA
cards ?, or will there be a fix via the patch mechanism.

Re: HPUX 11 and D250 with EISA
I've not heard any such rumours.
You can buy non-EISA MUX cards but they are HP-PB, which you obviously can't
use on a D class as its EISA and HSC only. I'm not sure there's another way
round it for a D.

Re: HPUX 11 and D250 with EISA
There are two versions of hp-ux 11.00, 32bit and 64bit.
There are no drivers for any EISA cards with the 64bit
version. There are drivers for some EISA cards with
the 32bit version.

Re: HPUX 11 and D250 with EISA
HP-UX 11.x has two versions, 32bit and 64bit.
If you are running 64bit, you will not be able to use any EISA card, as the
drivers will not be available.
32bit does have support for various drivers and they are available, including
the MUX drivers plus patches.
