HPUX 11 Performance Tuning Resources

Dear experts,

Does anyone have any links to any really useful documentation on configuring the kernel (HPUX 11) for enhanced performance. I've been scanning the web and finding that many of the default kernel settings seem to be excessive. What I would like is a "normal" type of configuration that is used (not a default) from which I can move forward with tuning/performance testing.

Much appreciated.

Cheers,
Benjamin

Re: HPUX 11 Performance Tuning Resources

One of the documents provided by Anil does not have any information on HPUX 11.

Kernel parameters are tuned in a few ways.

What database i.e. informix/oracle/sybase
How many instances
How many users
What application is being used and the vendor recommendations.
Hardware being used.

The combination of these will help assist in tuning your kernel.
Anyone for a Mutiny ?
