Re: 11i v1, we like to use/count on mirror, OnlineJFS and glance,and pay extra for such, either seperately or via the EOE OS pkg. Doesn't the v3 FOE contain some of this without having to pay extra for what most would consider basic OS protection / capabilities now-a-days? vs having to pay extra, or for EOE?

Factors to consider.

Support costs are lower when you buy the tools you want and keep the OS at FOE, basic.

If you upgrade to Mission Critical there is a substantial bump in software support costs.

yes; those are the 3 that i was used to. so I guess you can request these 3 (foe, eoe, mc-oe) and the vs-oe and dc-oe.
