Does HPUX B.11.11 support SAN Boot and SAN Swap in vPAR Mode. I know that it can be accomplished with B.11.23 and B.11.31. However, I have business drivers that prevent the upgrade to B.11.23 and B.11.31.
Thanks in advance for any and all assistance.

Re: HPUX B.11.11 vPAR SAN Boot
Shalom,
SAN boot is supported by 11.11. Any hardware that supports vpars will support a SAN boot.
11.11 does not provide SAN boot on all hardware.
SAN boot is something I avoid at all costs because if there is a problem with the HBA card, the media or the SAN network, the system is offline, without diagnostics and often the systems administrator does not have a clue what the cause of the problem is.
So its much better to try and arrange boot and swap on local disk, if all possible.
Also note, most experienced sysadmins do not upgrade between 11.23 and 11.31, due to the reliability of update-ux. We use a cold install of the OS followed be installation of necessary applications.
