How do you become an HPUX certified engineer? I cannot find any information on this. thanks

As noted above you can check out HP education..as well as purchasing books for self study (OReilly's are pretty good).
Than it is a matter of taking the test and passing...you can register and take the tests at Sylvan's Training/Education Centers located in most larger cities.

reading the ITRC pages might be quite helpful
to show where your knowledge is not so good...
As soon as you can answer ALL questions for a
whole day, you will pass with 99% score at the
Sylvan/ProMetrics testing center... ;-)
Well, it IS helpful to lurk around here for
quite some time, read all the man pages needed
for the answers, administer as much as possible
and such; try to get an (old) 715 Workstation
for you alone to play around a lot.
