Hpux client to Active directory
I am trying to create a hpux client that will get it's authentication from a Active directory box. I will read anything that will tell me how to do this but I am not familiar enough with ldap and wish to be pointed to the correct documents. I don't know what to ask for as far as the documentation.
Thanks
Thanks

Re: Hpux client to Active directory
Shalom,
You work with LDAP.

The document above is a guide to do the configuration. I won't say its easy, but it is possible.

Re: Hpux client to Active directory
Hi Ross,
Here is the document that you need:
http://www.docs.hp.com/en/1408/ADSLDUX.pdf
It's old, however it works. I have been working on this same issue this week for a customer to integrate HP CIFS Server with HP-UX logons to AD. I am using W2003R2 with SFU3.5, 11iv3 on one system, and 11iv1 on another system. Authentication is by krb5. My CIFS users are authenticated by AD, the HP-UX users (non-root) are authenticated by AD. The AD user has the UNIX tab which contains the rfc2307 attributes. You will need the latest krb5 and LDAP-UX client from software.hp.com (free). I also have Secure Internet Services working, but this is pretty tricky. Later I am going to look at SSL for the LDAP AD lookups.
My plan is to update this document for CIFS/HP-UX AD integration and show screen shots and Wireshark traces.
Email me if you need help. Just put the dots and @ sign where they should go.

Hi,
You can use the VAS utility, It├В┬┤s work fine with us, in 300 HP-UX servers... and 500 users...
