Re: HPUX Crash

WARNING: All processors have been deconfigured--system cannot boot.
The processors in this computer model may only be configured in
pairs. Refer to the CPU command in the CONFIGURATION menu
for processor configuration information.

You cannot boot without a CPU. There may be also a problem with your disks. Consider to call HP and let them check your hardware first.

Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: HPUX Crash

It really depends on what is broken - if the disk has failed, you have a problem without any backup ...

Hope this helps!

Re: HPUX Crash

I think we don't have problem with the Hard-Disk. we have problem with CPU 0. how can i disable it till change it? i tried to do it:
CO >> CPUconfig 0 OFF. but it could not boot even from DVD.

how can I re-install the drivers in this case? how can i run "insf -e".?

Re: HPUX Crash

You always need the CPU 0 (monarch) to boot.

The MISSING DRIVERS??? message indicates a problem, but most of the times NOT a driver problem!

;-)

The system cannot access (parts of) the disk, so it "thinks" this could be a driver problem, what in fact is never the problem.

Hope this helps!

Torsten.
