Re: hpux JVM crashes consistently
Hi,
This can be any kind of problem.
You can start by seeing if you get
the same problem when you run java
with the option -classic.
This will replace the HotSpot compiler with
the Just-In_Time (JIT) compiler

Olav

Re: hpux JVM crashes consistently
I don't know if I can write a small program to reproduce the problem. But my JVM crashes every single time I run the task.
BTW, I've installed all the required patches.
BTW, the same application runs on Solaris just fine.

Re: hpux JVM crashes consistently
Why don't you try a version direct from HP - here's the URL for all the current 1.3 vers (includes patch info, SDKs, RTEs, 1.3.0.1 & 1.3.0.2):
http://www.hp.com/products1/unix/java/java2/sdkrte1_3/downloads/index.html

Re: hpux JVM crashes consistently
There are links on the main http://itrc.hp.com site that let you report and track buhgs.
They are going to need more information to diagnose.
From reading the thread, it could be JVM crashing, it could be the application causing JVM to crash.
It is imperitive that you have installed and in a configured state each and every recommended java patch for your java versions in the link provided to you above.

Re: hpux JVM crashes consistently
that way there is a standard way to trace back the root of the problem.
