HPUX lvm disk fail

i have a rp4440 HPUX10.2 with a ds2300 split between 2 smart 6402 cards. when i run sautil for ciss4 (first 6402 from rp4440, left side of ds2300) it reports logical drive 1 raid 0 failed. the SCSI device summary shows location N/A ch 1 ID 3 type N/A capacity N/A status failed. these are 36GB hot swap drives. this is vg02 which is mirrored to 2 other drives also vg02 on the other 6402 card on the right side of the ds2300. what is the procedure for replacing the failed drive? thanks.

Re: HPUX lvm disk fail

You cannot run hp-ux 10.20 on this box, you probably have 11.11.

Can you please sent a "sautil /dev/ciss_" from both controllers, together with an "ioscan -fn" and a "vgdisplay -v" for the VG in question.

Hope this helps!

Torsten.

Re: HPUX lvm disk fail

my question is what is the proceedure for replacing a failed disk in a ld consisting of 2 36gb hot swap drives which is mirrored to 2 other drives on a different 6402 contoller.it's vg01. this is a ds2300 storage box. all disk are on this box.  sautil reports the specific disk as failed. thanks.
