HPUX lvm disk fail

i have an rp4440 HPUX 10.2 system with a ds2300 connected by 2 smart 6402 cards. the ds2300 is divided equally with 36GB hot swap disks. the first 2 pair are LD 0 vg01, the next is LD 1 vg02 and the next is ld 3 vg02. they are mirrored to pairs of disks on the other side (channel) of the ds2300. sautil for the first 6402 (ciss4) is reporting ld 1 RAID 0  failed. scsi device summary reports CH 1 ID 3 FAILED. what is the proceedure to replace the failed disk and restore vg02 on LD 1? thanks.

Re: HPUX lvm disk fail

Shalom,

Please post uname -a output.

There is no way HP-UX 10.2 is on that system. That OS is not supported.

ioscan -fnCdisk

Look for NO_HW disks.

Lets bef sure its dead before we do anything.

If you are using hot swappable disks you should be able to merely change out the bad disk. If you are using your hardware raid card (optional) mirrors will rebuild automagically.

You have abreviated the error messages and that makes it hard to provide a procedure.
