Hi,
My customer sent me an SDLT600 tape.
On my platform, I have only an Ultrium 448 tape drive connected to hpux 11iv3.
Is it possible to read the data on the tape from this drive (data were write using "tar" command) ?
Thanks

SolutionNo, this will not work.
A Ultrium-2 drive can read and write LTO-2 and LTO-1 tapes only.
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: hpux : read SDLT 600 on Ultrium 448 ?
SDLT (Super DLT) is a different type of tape than an Ultrium aka LTO tape.
The cartridges are very different and it is doubtful that a SDLT would even fit in an Ultrium drive.
