HPUX + samba + winbind

I have the problem that the command ls is only showing 12 characters from the owner and the group. The owner and the group of the files created with samba (winbind) have longer names. Is there a way to show more charachters with ls or are there other tools from samba or ...

Same when you do an ll?

I use Samba (CIFS) with Winbind as well on HPUX - can you post your smb.conf file as well?

yes I use the Cifs from HP software.
But when I do an ll on the filesystem I see this
-rw-rw-rw- 1 OXHY_DOM+oxOXHY_DOM+in 5 Jun 1 16:11 test

but I should be seeing this
-rw-rw-rw- 1 OXHY_DOM+ox0130 OXHY_DOM+in formatique 5 Jun 1 16:11 test

Is there a way to solve this by changing an environement variable or an other command.

I don't believe that you can change this behaviour. The ls command is only expecting to see usernames that are 8 characters so the output is formatted in this fashion. The same problem is seen by people who try to use long login names.
