HPUX Telnet Session Disconnects

Just a quick question. We have a RP5470 Unix server running HPUX 11.11. Several of our users use a telnet session to access the server. I'm not completely sure re: if the client machine, which is connected via a telnet session to the unix server, say, reboots, does the unix session still exist? I have noticed that at times, the session exists, and other times, they are terminated. Where do you determine this on the Unix side of things? IE - is there a setting somewhere that drives this? Is there a certain period of time before they are terminated?
Thanks.

Re: HPUX Telnet Session Disconnects

Hi,

As far as i remember if you have started any processes in the background from the session then they will not be affected and they will be remain executing even if the client reboots and i hope as such the session will not be there.

Thanks,
siva
