HPUX versions overseas

What (if any) differences exist between HPUX OS purchased overseas than from versions purchased here in the states?

Re: HPUX versions overseas

Shalom,

As far as I can tell no difference having actually used both. The US is pretty good with Israel as far as export restrictions.

Certain kinds of 128 bit encryption are restricted for sale to certain countries.

I have not been able to find any differences beyond what I state above.

Re: HPUX versions overseas

As Stephen mentioned, certain programs with restricted encryption methods may be different. Also, some countries may have HP-UX language localization enabled either from HP or from 3rd party distributors.

Re: HPUX versions overseas

Rick,

Encryption should be the only issue, and it looks like it can be exported to most countries except the terrorist countries:

"Worldwide Exportable from the US: This version has US Commerce Department approval for export to
any country except the â terrorist 7.â "
