HPUX11 & having problem with a NIS user
Greetings!
HP gurus,
One of a NIS user is having problem logging into aa HPUX server. When he logs in, the window hangs.
I ran the tusc, IT says the following:
tusc: retrying attach to process 24297 ("sh -c /usr/bin/quota robert"): Interrup
ted system call
This user can login to other HP servers runngin the same HPUX 11.0.
This usere was able to login yesterday morning, all of a sudden, he couldn't login to a particular HP Server?
Any help would be very much appreciated.
Thanks,
Murali

Re: HPUX11 & having problem with a NIS user
Hi,
It's looks as though this user has exceeded his disk quota. Either turn quota's off, increase his quota's, or go in as root and clean up.

If it ain't broke, I can fix that.

Re: HPUX11 & having problem with a NIS user
If he should not have quotas, make sure to remove the limits. Is their anything in '/etc/profile' or the users home directory calling quotas? If the user telnet's do they SEE the quota error? That error will not show up in X, but will via telnet or rlogin
