I've 1 node of a service guard cluster slow at startup. For example: the rc.log starts at 17:13 and ends at 18:15 !!!
The other node in the rc.log starts at 13:49 and ends at 13:53
Can anyone of you help me solving this mistery question?
Regards...

Solutionit's very difficult to say what's going on boot in this way, consider there are a lot of services starting. The best thing should be standing in front of console when the system booting, you would see what service(s) is/are taking a lot of time, then you can focus your attention and troubleshooting on that.
Hope that helps you.
Best regards,
Fabio

Re: HPUX11v1 box slow at startup
I think you should look at whats IN the rc.log
There are probably clues in there.
I have seen this when there are errors in /etc/rc.config.d/netconf

Re: HPUX11v1 box slow at startup
I've had issues with netconf where the NFS would hang and really slow the boot process.

Re: HPUX11v1 box slow at startup
The rc.log shows some services slows at startup like this:
Starting servicecontrol manager daemons
Output from "/sbin/rc2.d/S890ServCtlMgr start":
----------------------------
Configure HP Fibre Channel Mass Storage interfaces
Output from "/sbin/rc2.d/S900hpfcms start":
----------------------------
I've removede the services SKIPPED at startup reducing the startup time at 20m.
