HPUXBase32 install
During the 11.11 ignite gui install, in the Software panel, besides BUNDLE11i, HWEnable11i, etc.,
there is an entry called General Patches, which is selected by default. Looking into the depots, there is no bundle corresponding to it, so it doesn't show up as an entry in config files. I understand (not without confusion) that if it is selected, all patches will be installed. Usually we do something like
init sw_sel { ..... } = TRUE
in a config file to set the software default to "Yes" (install it).
How to de-select the General Patches so that the ignite gui marks it "No" as the default?

Re: HPUXBase32 install
Make the change and save the configuration in the gui, far right tab or one from the right.
You will be prompted, do you want to overwrite, choose yes.
The settings should then stick.
Sometimes they don't. That once turned out to be I changed permissions on the file, and once turned out that I needed a patch.

Re: HPUXBase32 install
Steven,
So there is no way to change the default before you open the gui?
