HPVM 4.3 - V-iLO

If you wanted to explicitly use a particular nic for V-iLO, how would you go about configuring that?

It would seem that some sort of manual intervention would need to occur as I do not see any available arguments to hpvm*(1m) commands.

When you configure the virtual iLO, use an IP address that maps to the particular NIC you want to use. In other words, if you have:

lan0: 15.12.14.145
lan1: 10.23.21.133

And you want to use lan0 for the v-iLO, chose an IP address in the 15.12.14.X subnet. That should map the v-iLO to the 15 NIC.

Re: HPVM 4.3 - V-iLO

Hmm, I was afraid something like that would be the case.

It doesn't really fit with the security scheme adopted. All 'consoles' are segregated on thier own vlan/subnet.

Any way to get past this limitation?

We require a tagged vlan/subnet on a specific pnic (well actually apa-enabled pnics).
