HPVM 4 issues on Guests
I have two BL860C systems that each have two VMs. All VMS are having the same problems:-
1) occasionally have the network stack drop - no connection in/out and have to login via the hpvmconsole to restart the system. I have set the dead gateway detection (ndd) options on and set it in the nddconf file also.
2) VM's will panic with "Bad News!" every couple of days.
I am running March 09 patch levels on these 11.31 guests and the latest HPVM patches on the hosts.
Any suggestions on the cause/resolution?\
Thanks

Re: HPVM 4 issues on Guests
Hi
are you using the APA configured on host and creatin the VSwitches?
Also need to check from the network side for the VLANs configured on the switches and if APA is that properly configured and supported by the switch.
perhaps you need to check both from the Switch side more.
regards
sujit

Re: HPVM 4 issues on Guests
Check if under /var/adm/crash any crash directory is being created (like crash.0, crash.1, etc.), maybe you can call HP to have them analyze the crash files, and they may be able to find something for you.

Re: HPVM 4 issues on Guests
I am still chasing a HP crash expert and am still having the issues on two 4 guests off to host systems. The only thing I see different is that I have to use long names on all systems and have set that accordingly in kctune.
Crashinfo hasn't identified it - will close thread as it is going to be a while. Thanks
