HPVM online migration (4.2) fails

Hoping someone has some ideas before I log a support ticket. See below. I have been able to migrate other hosts with no issues, so I don't think this is VM specific.

=-=-=-=-=-=

root@vpsish64 [/]# hpvmmigrate -o -P vpsish02 -h vpsish65
hpvmmigrate: Connected to target host using 'vpsish65'
hpvmmigrate: Starting guest 'vpsish02' on target host 'vpsish65'
(C) Copyright 2000 - 2010 Hewlett-Packard Development Company, L.P.
Opening minor device and creating guest machine container
Creation of VM, minor device 3
Initialize guest memory mapping tables
Starting event polling thread

Online migration initiated by source 'vpsish64' (140.188.190.64)
Target: online migration started with encryption algorithm AES-128-CBC.

hpvmmigrate: Init phase (step 5) - progress 0%
Target: IO manager data async run failure: status 1009
hpvmmigrate: ERROR (vpsish02): Remote message: Target guest exited. Status 2.
hpvmmigrate: ERROR (vpsish02): Migration was aborted because of transfer failure 5 codes 0, 16220.

Correction to my statement above...I DO think this is VM specific, as I can migrate other VMs with no issue.

Shalom,

Try this procedure on the target host.

I think you are having a fairly common problem with the the hpvm host is seeing being a little screwed up.

HP gave me this procedure to help fix a HPVM 4.1 issue, and I modified it to make it work better.

Re: HPVM online migration (4.2) fails

My guess would be that the configuration of guest on target host differs from the source
host. It could be the issue mentioned above by SEP, but it could be that the configurations
were not kept in sync after some change on one of the sides.
