Re: Humor

Wow!

Background. I'm a sabbath observant Jew. I don't do lights, computers, cars, or play piano from sundown friday to sundown saturday.

One friday night, in the dead of winter, the house is quiet and I'm the only one awake, in the living room studying a religous text.

Suddenly the piano, not a player model, plays a few notes. Silence, then a few more.

I'm freaked, thinking my home is haunted.

A mouse runs across the floor a few minutes later, running from the piano.

We got rid of them.

Have to say the snake tops that one.

"Snakes! Why did it have to be snakes?"

I don't recognize the species, but I'm guessing it must have been an adder...

Wow....that's one aggressive virus eliminator. Guess they're lucky that it wasn't too tightly quarantined though...would raise quite a stink in a short time.

Re: Humor

Dave,
I'd hazard a guess that it's a red-belly black snake. Fairly common along the east coast of Australia.
Now excuse me while I go and check the back of my PC!

cheers

Customer: There's a rattle inside my computer!

Microsoft: Are you getting the blue screen of death?

Customer: It's making a hissing noise?

Microsoft: Do you have the emergency repair disk..?

Customer: My computer's got that new 'reptilian virus' and it's coming out of my computer now..

Microsoft: I'm sorry, If a reboot won't help, then I'll have to forward you to another group that can handle your situation sir..

Another reason to go UNIX...

Re: Humor

Actually it is a red bellied black:

And they actually eat mice. It was probably looking for another one. These are quite common, especially off the fairways on some golf courses..... Always carry something into bushes when looking for your ball.

Mmm ... this description fits my workarea :-)
"It likes damp places and usually lives in holes, rabbit burrows, hollow logs and under rocks"

Tom (who is presently very happy he lives in a country where you can "rattle" the bushes without finding a snake).

Re: Humor

U. that message was useful. You could attach the keyboard *after* the computer powered on, and by pressing F1 (not any key) it would recognize the keyboard, and continue booting
