hw.info file

Hi,

I'd like to know when the hw.info file is created. How can be recreated??.

Hi

as i know the program /opt/ignite/bin/add_new_client creates this file.

See 'man add_new_client'

The hw.info file is created in
two ways.

1) booting a client off of an Ignite server the hw.info file
is created very early in the process (before any user interaction with Ignite-UX) by Ignite-UX's version of "init" running on the RAM disk.

2) add_new_client (as someone else said) which calls /opt/ignite/lbin/rescan_hw_host that creates the hw.info file.
