I/O Information Needed for Disk Magic
I/Os per sec
average I/O size
read/write ratio
The iostat command on and AIX server gives this information, but the iostat command on HP does not give the same output.
Thanks!

Re: I/O Information Needed for Disk Magic
I would love to hear someday your choice for IBM8100.
We went through an RFP recently for SAN upgrades. IBM lost.
Just curious on the benefits you saw or are going to see ?
THanks !!

Re: I/O Information Needed for Disk Magic
This is exactly what MeasureWare and specifically PerfView is designed for.
It'll even give you nice graphs.
Highly, highly recommended.
Outside of this - which is a $ item, then sar -d is your next, best hope. Use sa1 & cron it to gather stats over time.
Rgds,
Jeff
