I/O timeout on fiber

I'm wondering if there is anyway to change timeout value on fiber.
I know I can change the value using pvchange -t but we don't use LVM on that volume.
I don't think we should change the value but my boss just want to know how to change it.
Does anyone know how to change the value? HP-UX version is 11.11.
Thanks.

Re: I/O timeout on fiber

I think its an undocumented option using fcmsutil. See manpage on fcmsutil, it allows changing on certain parameters but doesnt describe them in full.
Im from Palmerston North, New Zealand, but somehow ended up in London...

Re: I/O timeout on fiber

fcmsutil /dev.td0

man the utility and you can play.

However, the default setting should provide performance faster than you could ever dream of.

Make sure the fiber card drivers are correctly patches. You might want to install the latest and greatest off the Application cd's once in a while.
