I want to format my HPUX 11.11 system and Instalı 11.23

DB2 Version 9 needs HPUX 11.23 therefore I want to install 11.23

Before instaling I want format my system.
Because I do not want some data from earlier software installations.

1- I need 11.23 installation CDs, where can I supply them?
2- before the starting of inst. How can I format my system?

There is absolutely no need to format anything. The first steps of the install will do a pvcreate on the disk, thus wiping out anything and everything previously on the disk.

To acquire the CDs (or DVDs, nowdays) you need to contact HP. Assuming you have a support contract that covers it, you simply order the new media from here:

Hi,

no need to format your system.

Boot from CD and install hpux 11,23 version on system.

If you have a contract support generally you obtain it.

Ask a copy to your HP contact.

A complete install of 11.23 including all disks will wipe out all data on all disks.

Its how I would clean a machine up for decommission.

You need a software support contract to get 11.23 disks. Contact your local HP representitive for that.

... and even before you do anything else, you need to determine if your system is even supported on 11.23 because many boxes that will run 11.11 will not run 11.23.
