Do the I70 series servers support 11.x?

The I series servers do OFFICIALLY support HP-UX 11.0 in 32-bit mode only.

Having said that I have installed HP-UX 11i (11.11) on an I30 and it ran. It didn't run fast, but it ran. Keep in mind, though, that 11i is NOT OFFICIALLY supported by HP on the I series.

It is supported at 11.0 32 bit only but not at 11i. Below is a link with a compatibility chart.

Hi,

You can install HP-UX 11.x 32 bit on I70 systems. Make sure that you are installing all patch bundles along with that.

I had a successful installation of 32 bit HP-11.0 on I70.

According to HP's OS and harware list. Yes, you can install 11.x on your I class machine.
Be sure that you are installing required hardware patches on it.
