identify stripe size of striped volumes

Hello,

I'm not very sure how to identify the stripe size of lvols. Is the below command the right
command to identify stripe size?

fstyp -v /dev/vg01/rlvol1

f_bsize: 8192 ====> is this the stripe size?
f_frsize: 1024
f_blocks: 2097152
f_bfree: 512742
f_bavail: 480696
f_files: 162488
f_ffree: 128184
f_favail: 128184
f_fsid: 1073807361
f_basetype: vxfs
f_namemax: 254
f_magic: a501fcf5
f_featurebits: 0
f_flag: 16
f_fsindex: 5
f_size: 2097152

Many Thanks,
Charlie

Re: identify stripe size of striped volumes

No, use

lvdisplay /dev/vg01/lvol1

It will list the stripe size. There is also a -v option if you need more details.

Thanks Carsten for the prompt reply.

Referring to your reply, is this also true with extent based striping?

Re: identify stripe size of striped volumes

sorry for the late reply..

If you use extent based striping (lvcreate -D) then the stripe size is the same as the physical extent (PE) size. This is the same for all lvols in a VG and you can check its size with

vgdisplay vg00

This gives you the field "PE Size".
