idisk messages when make_tape_recovery an HP-UX 11.23 system

Good morning,

below strange idisk messages by launching

make_tape_recovery -v -x inc_entire=vg00

on an HP-UX 11.23 system:

idisk: Read of requested data failed(0)
idisk: Read of Alternate EFI partition entries failed
idisk: Read of requested data failed(0)
idisk: Read of Alternate EFI partition entries failed

Anyway backup is ending successfully with warnings (that above is not an error neither a warning).

Then I ask you:
have you ever seen before that idisk messages?

Ignite-UX is the latest version C.6.0.109 with the latest pax patch PHCO_31634.

Idisk is utility to setup a partition table on an Itanium server.

Do you use mirror disk software ?

I have never seen this error. In light of the fact that I don't work regularly on Itanium boxes, that is not surprising.

I would however call the response center and search the patch database for this error message and see what you come up with.

I find those messages a little ominous.

Also after the backup, a hardware check with mstm cstm or X based xstm seems appropriate.

no, I didn't use mirror disk software and for that messages sound strange.

pax patch is the latest installed and Ignite-UX erquires only pax patch after its installation. Anyway I will try an hardware check.

just for close the thread.
Problem seems to be solved when restore from backup created with that make_tape_recovery. Now launching idisk
commands no other problems.
However the reason of the problem is unknown yet.
