igelan speed setting
# lanadmin -x 0
The link is down. The speed and other link state information
are undefined. The configuration specified for this card is:
Speed = 100 Full-Duplex.
Autonegotiation = Off.
# lanadmin -X auto_on 0
# lanadmin -x 0
Speed = 100 Half-Duplex.
Autonegotiation = On.
Now network is online, but the speed is 100HD. How to set it to 100FD? What else needs be done on server side?

Re: igelan speed setting
To set from command line:
lanadmin -X 100FD 0
Then go into /etc/rc.config.d/hpigelanconf and edit the file to make this permanent - so it will be set automatically on next reboot.
Then make sure your switch port has the same settings - talk to your network person to confirm they set the port the same.
Rgrds,
Rita

Re: igelan speed setting
If it is a gig card you should put "auto_on" in the speed in the hpigelanconf file and AUTONEG=1.

Re: igelan speed setting
If set to auto_on, it bring network up, but it is 100FD. lanadmin -X auto_on is to get speed setting outside the server, is it?

Re: igelan speed setting
John,
if you are setting 100FD, make sure you install PHNE_35692
SR: 8606477341 CR: JAGag31757
Intermittently, links between back to back ports on
A6825A, A7109A, A6794A and some Core I/O (with 5701)
cards and links between A6825A, A7109A, A6794A and
some Core I/O (with 5701) cards and 100BT switch
ports may fail to establish when the systems boot up.
Subsequent boots will allow the links to start.
